It seems like we just wrapped up graduation and already school is back in session across the state of Texas. Gone are the hot, relaxing summer days and family vacations. Back-to-school time holds an extra special place in our hearts because we are also teachers! There is something about the aisles of school supplies at the stores that makes us a little bit giddy inside. The bright yellow pencils, stacks upon stacks of crayons, and colorful, patterned folders are a beautiful sight. Confetti Photography did take a break from school shopping and hosted some Back-to-School Mini Sessions before school started. It was so much fun to see the kids in their brand-new outfits and backpacks. We hope everyone has a wonderful school year!
Summer is zooming right along and the weather is getting toastier and toastier. I wanted to take a moment to go back a couple of months when the weather was gorgeous and Confetti Photography had the honor of photographing several beautiful women and their children for our Mother’s Day mini sessions. We were fortunate to hold the sessions at the breath-taking Teaberry Farm and spend time with all of these truly wonderful families.
“Don’t you forget about me….” Can you hear the song in your head and think of all those wonderful John Hughes films that we grew up watching, especially The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink??? (Well, at least the
older 80s kids generation might be thinking of The Breakfast Club, while the young’uns are thinking Pitch Perfect.) When it came time for prom this year we were feeling nostalgic and channeled our inner Molly Ringwald and decided that the perfect setting for prom pictures would be the high school.
Kara is another bright and beautiful senior we photographed this spring. She came with some great ideas for her session and we had a wonderful afternoon. We wish her the best of luck as she starts at A&M this fall!
